There’s a marathon reading of Shakespeare in June at Insole Court with two ‘sittings’ of sonnets:

In Llandaf, the Insole Court Community Choir headlines an Autumn Concert fundraiser at Insole Court, with three performances on 17 and 18 November 2017.

There’s a screening of Sense and Sensibility on Friday 20 October 2017 at Insole Court, Llandaf, Cardiff.

Just pondering over three recent changes to Llandaf:

1. Gusto has closed. I’m going to really miss the coffee, food and welcome at Gusto Sardinian deli at Insole, Llandaf. It had one of the best cups of coffee in Cardiff, I loved the frittatta, Tarte de Nonna and my family and friends will miss popping in to see Andrea and his family.
2. The beech tree in this garden, by the Victorian post box has had to be cut down because of a fungal root infection, which has also affected trees in Insole Court.
3. The closure of the Heathcock pub has opened up an opportunity for someone to make a go of a new venture. To be honest, with all the homes which will be built on the site of BBC Llandaf, this pub could be a goldmine in the future.

A course starts at Insole Court from 27 February

The redeveloped Insole Court in Llandaf Cardiff brings an old-world feel of the Cotswolds or Cheshire to the Welsh capital. The Christmas Market there today really helped to increase the quota of Christmas spirit. There was delicious lentil soup, Italian leather handbags and woven scarves, original pastels by local artists and lots of Festive hustle and bustle. Here are some photos I took:

There’s a Willy Wonka celebration at Insole Court Gardens, Llandaf, Cardiff, on Saturday 21 August 2016. Between 15:00-18:00 there’s a fancy dress family picnic which has been sponsored by the Llandaf businesses listed on the poster below.

Here’s a photo I took today (just before having a coffee at Gusto) of the old, much-loved, Omar’s supermarket in Insole Llandaf. It’s being turned next into a Coop, because we don’t have many branches of that store locally.

On 20 October the Friends of Insole Court Autumn Coach Trip heads for Westonbirt Arboretum. Details on this poster:

Snapped before the store closed, here are some nice upcycled items of furniture in the window Mudlarks, Insole, Llandaf, Cardiff. If you like industrial items, there are some big cable drum coffee tables available. Take a look at the shop’s website to see what’s on offer. The shop at Waungron Rd has now closed and the shop has moved online, with the promise of a pop-up in the future.
